Why are you a wine geek?
Because wines sometimes have more interesting things to say than people. Living and breathing wines of course. I'm not talking about zombies like Apothic Reds. Although those wines can be so bad sometimes, they become unintentionally funny.

Extraterrestrials just landed on earth. What wine do you pour them?
Probably an Apothic Red. Because they need to know what humans are capable of.

What's your favorite scent you have ever smelled in a wine?
Sex. If you know you know.

Any favorite music or podcasts you like to listen to while you drink wine?
Naahhh. Just having my kids screaming and crying in the background is enough for me.

If you could visit any wine region in the world right now what would it be any why?
Germany probably. Because the wines are fucking dope and I don’t need to take out a second mortgage just to drink the top stuff.

What do you think is the most exciting thing going in the world of wine right now?
I am not a tech guy but I think social media apps that allow us to do what we are doing right now, I think that’s all pretty exciting stuff.

What would you like to see in the future of wine?
People stop looking to each other for validations. We don’t all have to like the same shit. It is ok to have different opinions.

What advice would you give yourself looking back to when you first started working in the wine industry?
I am not in the wine industry which means I can pretty much say whatever I want to say without worrying about anything. I like it this way.

Who are some people that inspire you in the world of wine?
Probably Gary Vaynerchuk, because I believe he was one of the first people to preach "forget about the critics; trust your own palate."
